Randolph Singers on Parade!

RANDOLPH SINGERS ON PARADE!

Randolph Singers were thrilled to participate in the 4th of July parade for the second year in a row.  This year, following the parade theme of Rise and Shine, the Singers rewrote lyrics to This Land is Your Land and New York, New York to reflect our love of our communities.  Enjoy the photos and lyrics below, and come join us in the fall!

Back row: Sandy Stephen, Pam Crino, Bob Crino
Front row: Carolyn Tonelli, Naomi Pratt

To the tune of “This Land is Your Land,” by Woodie Guthrie

This town is your town, this town is my town,

From the Beanville valley to the Braintree highland,

From the Old Town Forest to the Third Branch waters,

Randolph was made for you and me!

As I went walking route 66 highway

I saw above me that endless skyway

And saw below me that golden valley

This town was made for you and me

I roamed and rambled and I followed my footsteps

To the sparkling panes of her downtown storefronts

And all around me, a voice was sounding

This town was made for you and me

When the sun comes shining, then I’ll go strolling

Right across Brookfield’s floating bridge

The voice was chanting as the fog was lifting

This town was made for you and me

Front row: Martha Hafner, Lindsay Meyer and Chris Lesinski

To the tune of “New York, New York”

by John Kander/Fred Ebb

Start spreading the news

I promise today

I’m gonna be a part of it

Randolph, Vermont

These vagabond shoes

Are leading the way

Right through the very heart of it

Randolph, Vermont

I want to wake up in a village

Where life is sweet

And find a smile on the faces

Of all those I meet

My big city blues

Are melting away

I’m gonna make a brand new start of it

In this great town

If I can make it here

I'll make it anywhere

It's up to us

Randolph, Vermont

ANNUAL MEETING - June 18, 2019

posted May 28, 2019, 12:19 PM by Randolph Singers   [ updated May 28, 2019, 12:24 PM ]

Hello, Randolph Singers, past and present!

Mark your calendars – the Randolph Singers annual meeting will take place on Tuesday June 18 at 6:30 PM at Bethany Church.    We’ll start with a potluck dinner followed by a business meeting at 7 PM. Topics for discussion will include the following:

·         Election of Board members:

In addition to the members listed below, we are looking to fill a vacancy on the Board.  If you’re interested in getting more involved in planning and behind-the-scenes work related to Randolph Singers, are willing to devote some extra time to that end, and would like more information about the duties involved, please contact us ahead of time at RandolphSingers@gmail.com.

·         Board subcommittees: looking for volunteers that would be in leading or helping with miscellaneous tasks such as fundraising, publicity, et cetera.

·         Fund raising: always a critical issue, we welcome any suggestions for future fund raising projects.

·         Fourth of July Parade in Randolph:  Just as last year, we plan to have a float in the July 4th parade.  This year’s parade theme is “'Together, as a community, we will rise and shine!”.  We’re looking for volunteers to help plan and decorate the float, as well as for parade participants.

·         T-Shirts!  We still have Randolph Singers t-shirts available for purchase and will have them on hand at the meeting.

NOTE: If you are unable to attend the annual meeting but would like to participate in the parade or help with any of our other committees, please contact us at RandolphSingers@gmail.com
